Manhunt underway after Mississauga carjacking, suspect strikes victim with stolen vehicle
Police release video footage of violent theft
Peel Regional Police have released security footage of a violent carjacking in Mississauga, and are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.
The incident occurred at a Tim Hortons parking lot in the area of Glen Erin Drive and Britannia Road West on Tuesday, August 23, at around 11:30 p.m.
The victim, a 29-year-old Mississauga man, was sitting in his parked car when the suspect approached and demanded his keys. When the victim refused, the suspect allegedly assaulted him and stole his vehicle.

- Male
- Black
- Approximately 20-25 years old
- Slim build
- Wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black baseball cap
The suspect then allegedly drove the stolen vehicle at the victim, striking him and causing serious injuries.
The victim was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene in the stolen vehicle, which was later recovered by police.
