Timberlake Denied Charges, Claiming Low Alcohol Consumption
Justin Timberlake, the Grammy-winning singer and actor, was arrested on Tuesday, July 30, 2023, in New York City for allegedly driving while intoxicated (DWI).
According to police reports, Timberlake was pulled over after failing to maintain his lane of traffic. He was subsequently administered field sobriety tests, which he reportedly failed. The singer was then taken into custody and charged with one count of driving while intoxicated.
Timberlake, who is scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden on June 25 and 26, was arraigned on Wednesday, July 31. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released from police custody.
In a statement, Timberlake denied the charges against him. "I had one martini before dinner and was surprised by the results of the breathalyzer test," the singer said. "I'm confident that I will be exonerated of this charge."
The NYPD's investigation into the incident is ongoing.
