Rangers Suffer Pre-Season Defeat to Servette
Beale Laments Missed Chances
Rangers were beaten 3-2 by Swiss side Servette in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night. Michael Beale's side took the lead in the first half through Malik Tillman, but Servette came back to win the game with goals from Theo Valls, Nicolas Vouilloz, and Georges Mikautadze.
Beale was disappointed with the result, but he praised his players for their effort. "We created a lot of chances, but we didn't take them," he said. "We need to be more clinical in front of goal. But overall, I was pleased with the performance. We're still a work in progress, but we're getting there."
Rangers will continue their pre-season preparations with a match against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. The game will be played at Ibrox Stadium and will be Rangers' final friendly before the start of the new season.
Servette, meanwhile, will open their Swiss Super League campaign on July 23rd against FC Sion.
