Nottingham Forest Field Mill, currently known as the One Call Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a football ground in Mansfield. The stadium has been the home of Mansfield Town F.C. since 1919, and has also been used by Nottingham Forest F.C. for reserve and youth team matches. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000, and is the largest football ground in Nottinghamshire outside of Nottingham itself.
History
The stadium was built in 1890, and was originally known as the Mansfield Road Ground. The first match played at the ground was a friendly between Mansfield Town and Nottingham Forest, which Mansfield Town won 3-1. The ground was renamed Field Mill in 1930, and the first match played under the new name was a friendly between Mansfield Town and Arsenal, which Arsenal won 4-1.
The stadium has been renovated several times over the years, and the most recent major renovation was completed in 2001. The renovation included the construction of a new stand, which increased the capacity of the stadium to 10,000. The stadium has also been the host of several international matches, including a match between England and Scotland in 1902.
